WHY IS IT GOOD TO BE A CLUB MEMBER?

TRAINING OPPORTUNITY

Our club provides training opportunity twice a week in Aero Fitness Club, where you can find a darts area equipped with 8 competition boards. Besides the opportunity for games, our first class competitors are ready to help you to develop. Darts is a sport demanding considerable standing ability. To be able to gain and keep it, a 10 % fitness season ticket discount is offered to club members.
Our trainings are open to the public. We welcome everybody who is interested on Monday and Wednesday from 6 to 10 p. m.

JUNIOR TALENTS

The major basis of the young talents of Szombathelyi Darts Club is Bercsényi primary school, where about 15 pupils take part in the weekly regular trainings. Other young people also join them, mainly primary school aged. Six of them have claimed a competition permission entitling them for taking part in the young talents’national championship. The rest can have a challenge at the national final of “Sulimpia”. Besides the national competitions, we organize a local competition once a year, which can give a chance to discover new talents.

COMPETITIONS

Besides our locally organized competitions, the NYDRDSZ regional championship started in 2017 including steel and soft rounds. Our teams take part in national team competitions, both in first and third class, both in steel and soft category. The players of our club weekly compete in the West-Transdanubian region of the Hungarian Darts League. Furthermore, they try themselves in the national championship, too. Two of our players: József Kozmor and Miklós Pósfai were chosen to the wide members of the Hungarian darts cadre.

Briefly about the club

The SZDCSE (=Darts Club Sport Union of Szombathely) was founded in 2014 in its current status as the successor of the Ciao Amigo Darts Club and the Milos Darts Club. Our union has 42 permanent members with competition permission. Two years after the 2014 year’s reorganization we reached that we have a first class team and a 3 third class team in Steel category, and a first class team in Soft category in the 2017 season. Our club also organizes amateur competitions for those who don’t have a MDSZ (Hungarian Darts Association) competition permission. On these open competitions everybody can try this sport. The members of our teams and our active players help you with pleasure getting to know the game. We consider it important that this nice game should become widely known. So we do our best to have more and more active, player members.

"The SZDCSE reached another turning point after its 2014 year’s renewal, thanks to the development of the darts sport. More and more people are interested in darts, as well as in national and international competitions. The club should work both showing respect for local traditions and meeting the expectations and trends of our time. We would like to provide the best conditions for all clubmates and players. I would like darts to be a part of the sport life in Szombathely which we can be proud of both in our city and country. We welcome everybody who is interested."

"The aim of the club is that our members would be able to take part in more competitions from 2017. The competition routine and experience can take you further and helps reaching the acquired knowledge to the proper level by taking part in more and more competitions. The player gains enough routine to get through the stage fright. You can stand in front of the board positively and with self-confidence, maybe against a stronger opponent, too. Besides the conventional MDL (Hungarian Darts League) rounds, we are going to organize a local championship which also includes more rounds and a Cricket competition as well at the end of the year."

More and more youngsters start to pursue this sport and dream about following in their idols’ footsteps who can be seen on TV. Like in every sport, the beauty and difficulty of darts also lie in the competition spirit. We are willing to give beginners a hand with that. Our major aim is to make darts more popular. We try to provide the best conditions for every member and player to play games of high level."
